Welcome!

My name is Chris Hardee. I am a photographer based in Washington DC, photographing the mid-Atlantic, including the Shenandoah Valley and Eastern Shore. I hope you enjoy the galleries. I try to capture nature and our surroundings with an emphasis on composition, mood, and color.

I'd be grateful to discuss custom sizes or edits, and special projects, such as creating a unique set of images for your home, featuring your surroundings and your connection to a region, working with you or a designer. They can be produced in acrylic, metal, canvas, or framed gallery quality prints, working with the top labs in the country.

I'm also available for special events, sports and portraits. Please see the galleries with samples of those types of images.

Please contact me at the form below!

To fully display images, I recommend viewing the site horizontal on an iPad and with window expanded fully vertical and about 50 percent horizontal on a computer. To most closely match brightness of a printed image, I recommend setting brightness to 60-70 percent.

Viewing and Ordering

Please enjoy the galleries at the tab above!

Prints, framed prints, and wrapped canvas are available for automatic ordering in the galleries.

Contact me for wall art in metal, epic, or acrylic. Base prices are listed in the galleries.

Please also contact me if you are you interested in working together on a custom photo project for your home or client, or if you want to customize an image you see here. Custom projects are negotiable but a baseline is $1500 for up to five images, plus production and framing costs, plus 20% of those costs up to $500 to manage that production process (selecting the right lab for the project, ensuring color accuracy, selecting substrate and framing, delivery, etc.). You get exclusive rights to these images, except my limited right to display them as portfolio examples of my work.

I'd also love to put you on my (non-spammy) contact list. Drop me a line by filling out this contact form!
